Vaeh's Poem

Inspiration and innocence and you
And everything I once was, now undone
In you eyes lies truth and wisdom
Where did you come from, my little one?

I can see all the answers in your eyes
Knowing of unknown, I see as you smiled
Your understanding yet inquisitive stare
Where did you come from, my little child?

Your little face and frame change so fast
Yet great mysteries still lie in your gaze
I see hints of wisdom from decades past
Will I understand one of these days?

I watch you grow so fast, so strong
Yet the light in your eyes never fades
Together we play, love, belong
As the knowing you’ve shared pervades

We laugh, we cry; we live, we learn
We sing, dance, read, jump and twirl
You’ve taught me to live, have patience, forgive
Where did you come from, my little girl?

I want to protect you, teach you direct you
And I know this is no easy feat
Just always remember you can be anything

So who will you be, my sweet petite?

Lovved it....... I will respond with a poem Aunt Laura wrote after I expressed to her my thoughts and dreams about the impending birth of Miss Madison Dawn.....
its called.

MOMMY & DADDY'S GIFT

While we're counting down the days
Until I'm born at last
There's just a thing or two I thought
That I would like to ask

Will my eyes be hazel?
Green or brown or blue?
It really doesn't matter much
As long as they see you.

Will my hair be blonde or black?
Will I have Daddy's curls?
Will I be your little boy?
Or, your little girl?

Will you hold my tiny hands
As I learn to walk?
Will you know I love you
Before I learn to talk?

All I can do right now is kick
And sometimes roll around.
I even learned to suck my thumb
Just for the ultra sound.

Sometimes I even hiccup
Just so you can see...
How talented a child you have.
A gift for you... That's ME

Welcome to da mommyhood...
I Love you, Aunt Kris

I really liked your poem. It is great to have and keep for Nevaeh as she grows older. Also, I am feeling a positive attitude coming through all of your writings lately. Really enjoy reading them. Love you.
